Eventure
a mobile app designed to help students stay informed and engaged with campus life. From club meetings and sports games to fundraisers and social events, the app brings all campus happenings into one place. Students can easily discover events, filter by interests, and set reminders so they never miss out.
About the Artist
Kayla Tang is a UI/UX designer from West Hartford, Connecticut, currently pursuing a degree in Digital Media & Design with a concentration in Web and Interactive Media Design. Her work focuses on creating meaningful, human-centered digital experiences that prioritize clarity, accessibility, and emotional impact. One of her most significant projects, Safe Space, is a wellness app designed to support users’ emotional, mental, and physical well-being through simple, thoughtful practices. Rooted in the intention to provide comfort and inclusivity, Safe Space reflects Kayla’s commitment to designing with empathy and purpose. For her, projects like this serve as a reminder of why she chose this path. Her passion is to build tools that truly help people feel seen, supported, and empowered. Kayla continues to explore the intersection of design and well-being, always striving to create digital spaces that are not only functional but also deeply personal and affirming.

Artist Statement
Eventure is a campus events app designed to help students stay in the loop and make the most of college life. My goal is to build something that brings everything together in one place: club meetings, sports games, fundraisers, social events. It would be easier to discover what’s happening, find things you're genuinely interested in, and never miss out. Some key features I focused on include personalized onboarding, event discovery with smart reminders, and the ability to connect with other attendees. I also added an interactive campus map to make it easier to navigate to events, and a media recap feature so people can relive highlights or catch up on what they missed.
More than just an event app, Eventure is about helping students feel more connected to their campus, to their peers, and to the experiences that make college meaningful. Designing this app reminded me why I’m passionate about UI/UX in the first place: it’s about creating experiences that are not only useful, but also personal, thoughtful, and engaging.
